2 Easy Ways to Hit Your Q4 Goals
Updated: Oct 2, 2018
Labor Day is around the corner and thus summer will officially come to an end. Q3 will close out and welcome Q4 with all of the hustle and bustle that the winter months bring. Now is a great time to reevaluate all of the goals and resolutions that you planned to apply to both your professional and personal life just 9 short months ago. At the start of each year we are given the opportunity to refresh and re-energize our businesses and to set objectives. We make plans to meet our goals, yet as the year evolves, we learn more about what works and what doesn't with our businesses. We might pivot and change to certain circumstances but do we ever adjust our initial goals?
To be successful, it's essential that we incorporate the knowledge we gain from experience, account for change and make adjustments as we plan for the future. Today is a great day to focus and look back on where you had planned to be and where you currently are. Maybe you are on target or there is a possibility that you have fallen to the wayside of the goals you once established. Both are great places to be and NOW is the perfect time to up level the goals you’ve reached or reevaluate and reset for the last 3 months of 2018. Just remember, goals should be realistic yet challenging.
If you want to finish 2018 with a One-Two PUNCH, create accountability for yourself as well as your team with these two easy steps. First, share your vision and ask others to share theirs. Hold each other accountable and reach for greatness. Whether you are a solo entrepreneur or on a team of 100, share your plan and ask your tribe of colleagues, mentors, friends or family to help you stick to it. Focus in on your Personal Board of Directors and ask them to hold you accountable. Second, set a calendar reminder for yourself and check in with your own progress from time to time. Don't let the weeks go by and the dawn of 2019 sneak up on you. Schedule 30 minutes every other week as an appointment in your REAL calendar and set that time for yourself to review your progress and make adjustments.
Cheers to finishing 2018 strong!
